What can you achieve within 12 months as a consultant at ESP?

Liam joined ESP as a history graduate after 12-months working in telemarketing and retail.   He wanted more from his career in terms of progression and earnings.  Liam joined us with no prior recruitment experience, he knew very little about IT and his degree wasn’t related to technology or business.  However, he impressed Team ESP at interview because of his outstanding “can-do” attitude, desire to learn and willingness to deliver premium levels of customer experience. Liam joined ESP as a trainee recruitment consultant in 2018 and is now one of our top recruitment consultants.

 Within 6 months Liam had:

  • Completed Modular Training Level 1. This enabled him to identify a brand new candidate, conduct a thorough interview, match their profile to suitable roles and guide them through the interview process. Liam was also able to speak to prospective employers about his candidate and identify potential opportunities that could fit their career aspirations.
  • Met candidates and clients face-to-face. A huge part of recruitment is building relationships! ESP’s modular training programme gave him the confidence to meet his network in person and a more experienced colleague was on hand to support him through his first few meetings.
  • Closed his first few deals. We believe this is really important as success builds confidence! At ESP you receive lots of support from management and your team mates to help you start closing business and earning commission.

Within 12 months Liam had:

  • Exceeded his target for his 1st year revenue
  • Won two holiday incentives for weekend trips to Amsterdam and Lisbon.
  • Won ‘Breakthrough Employee of the Year’ Award at our end of year party.
  • Completed Modular Level 2. This enabled him to undertake full responsibility for entire recruitment projects with some of ESP’s biggest clients
  • Been promoted twice to a Senior Recruitment Consultant, increasing his basic salary, company benefits, holiday and commission plan in the process.
  • Realigned his career development focus and began on the track towards his next promotion!
